Studio makeover: a jewel for four
What a great challenge this project is, or how to transform a tiny, charmless studio into a real little gem!
On the lower ground floor of a building, this property was covered with blue tiles and carpeting that were no longer in keeping with the owner's tastes.
The latter, who likes to come and surf the artificial waves at Sion with her two children, wanted her property with its beautiful mountain views to accommodate 4 people as a second home. So she approached us with a relatively tight budget.
Impossible, really? Not for our company, which loves this kind of challenge!
We created maximum storage space and a truly functional, comfortable kitchen, designing the layout along a single line for a sober, uncluttered effect. The fold-away beds have completely changed the game, as they can be stored in the wall, which blends in visually with the rest of the furniture.
The coffee table converts into a dining table, and we've also created a bespoke double bed with pull-out beds and an oak clerestory.
The bathroom has been remodeled, with resin covering the old tiles. As for the rest of the studio, a beautiful oiled parquet floor has been laid.
The renovation took just over two months, and Lathion Frères managed the entire project, from the 3D plans to the furniture and site supervision. A successful gamble, since 4 people now feel at home in this small 25 m2 studio.
Kitchen focus: this way.
